New series: Lamentations – Hope in Exile
Every Sunday: 10:00 am – Outdoors or Online – Starting Sunday, January 10
The Apostle Peter called addressed Christians as “sojourners and exiles” (1 Peter 2:11). That explains how we relate to our world. As Christians, we are not home yet in the place that our Messiah has promised us. As we experience life as exiles in all its difficulties, we do not do so without hope. Even as we grieve as Christians, we do so with hope. We gain great comfort and hope as we look at the oft-neglected Old Testament book of Lamentations. This book is a set of five poems that express the lament and hope of God’s people when they were in a great time of exile. We can learn much from what they went – and, of course, as God’s Word it is just as relevant today as when it was written. Join us for this 5-week series.
