Today, March 31st, it the last day of Tim Challies “31 Days of Purity” challenge. Many of our OCC men accepted the challenge and my prayer is that they finish well. However, just because the challenge is technically over – we need to keep running. Our challenge for purity has not expiration date. So, just as we are saved by grace, we need to continue to “run the race” empowered by that same grace.
Here are a couple of blog articles for us men to keep us sharp in other areas, too:
- How Do You Prepare for Sundays? from Jordan Kauflin at Desiring God: Men, as leaders of our homes (or future leaders), Sunday worship should not be an accident.
- 7 Things a Good Dad Says by Tim Challies: Dads, here are some simple reminders of what we should say to our children.
- The Failure of Bromance and The Value of True Friendship by Kyle Worley at the Center for Biblical Manhood and Womanhood: Do you settle for bromances or true friendship? What’s the difference?
- Our National Pastime by Kevin DeYoung at The Gospel Coalition: This is simply a great article on baseball written from a pastor – an article I wish I had written.
Men, you are not alone. As a church, we are family. Value that relationship and know we are here for YOU!
